Title design and motion for Kite on Ice, a sold-out one-off performance at Stockholm’s Avicii Arena, marking the first concert following the arena’s renovation.
Kite performed from a construction-like structure built at the centre of the ice, joined by an extended band, guest artists and world champion synchronized skating team the Helsinki Rockettes. The concert was filmed for SVT, broadcast on television and SVT Play, and screened in selected cinemas.

TITLE DESIGN
The title sequence was created for the concert film, building on the visual identity developed for the show by artist Ragnar Persson. I worked with Ragnar on a set of custom lettering for the titles, directing what was written and how it should look, before composing and animating it over the opening moments of the performance as the arena gradually comes into view.
The lettering was animated by hand at 8 fps, creating a rough, analogue write-on effect that retained the character of Ragnar’s original drawings.

END CREDITS
The end credits drew on 1980s cinema and VHS title design. I animated cranes from the show’s visual identity flying across the screen, representing the band leaving the stage and bringing the film to a close.
